Our covered slipway can accommodate most vessels on the river anything up to 13 feet wide and up to 35 Tonnes. We jet wash and clean hulls ready for your surveyor. We can give you details of surveyors that will carry out, surveys for you. Our slipway charges include up to a week on the slipway in case work is required before returning your boat to the water. As well as the slipway we have a crane for smaller vessels. We can also arrange boat safety certificates for you.

We are blacking boat hulls most days of the week. We jet wash and scrape, then apply 3 coats of general purpose blacking that fully complies with current legislation. Should we see any sign of electrolysis on your boat we will contact you to inform you of this and invite you to come along to inspect your vessel before we commence applying the new coating. Subject to your agreement we will coat the hull with Vactan rust proofer before blacking. It’s a great product that will stop the new blacking from peeling where electrolysis is apparent.

We have a wealth of experience - more than thirty years of welding new base plates, over plating, rubbing strakes, fitting anodes, extending cabins. We can do just about anything you need done to your Narrowboat, Dutch Barge or Wide Beam.  If you have got something in mind to change your existing layout, call in and see us for a no obligation consultation and estimate.  We undertake many types of engineering work including tank removal or installation, engine installs and swaps, bow thrusters repairs or renewals, stern gear problems resolved, and mechanical work undertaken, if necessary, by our trusted associates

We have leisure mooring’s at very competitive rates, some of which have gardens. All moorings have electric hook ups and water available. You will just need a metered cable.  Moorings can be long or short term, please contact us for a quotation and availability.

We are Calor Gas stockist and hold most cylinder sizes during the season from 1st March onwards.  We also stock bagged coal in the winter months for your convenience. Collections can be made from our yard or riverside.
